Goal

To educate and empower marginalized, vulnerable, specially abled men, women and children, deprived, widows, destitute, aged, downtrodden and facilitate them to come out from vulnerability and lead a dignified and quality life and become role model or change maker

Our Objectives

“SANKALPA” has been working for economically marginalized People with Disabilities. And build capacity of different stakeholders including ASHA, Anganawadi workers and other front line workers. “SANKALPA” has provided various community services for Persons with Disabilities from rural and urban areas marginalized person’s As a part of its strategy “SANKALPA” organized the community and families, it has worked over the years and formed a groups for landless, marginalized and vulnerable.

Undertake Human Resource Development by training personnel for rehabilitation that includes: Village Rehabilitation Workers, ASHAs, Anganawadi Teachers etc., and Govt. /Non-Govt. functionaries who are providing services to persons with disabilities.

Organize public education programs to create awareness on disability and rehabilitation among parents and the general community. Especially, to sensitize the primary stake holders towards realizing the benefits enshrined in Rights for the Persons with Disabilities Action 2016.

Encourage and support other voluntary organization, parent groups and self- help groups to work for the welfare of Persons with Disabilities & for the marginalized rural community.

4.

Establish linkages with existing medical, educational and employment services following the principles of community-based rehabilitation and offer extension services especially in the rural area.

5.

Organize training programs to address the rural distress especially problems related to poverty, cleanliness, mal nutrition, illiteracy gender discrimination etc., and to achieve sustainable rural development in Davangere.

6. & 7.

Provide support services like Day Care Service, Respite Care Service, Early Intervention Services for Children with Disabilities.
Organize career guidance programs, employment camps for persons with disabilities in collaboration with Govt. & Non Govt. Organisations.
