SANKALAP Organisation has been working in the area of Inclusive Education for Specially Abled and in Rural Development, over last 13 years (since 2007).

“SANKALPA” has been working for economically marginalized People with Disabilities. And build capacity of different stakeholders including ASHA, Anganawadi workers and other front line workers. “SANKALPA” has provided various community services for Persons with Disabilities from rural and urban areas marginalized person’s as a part of its strategy “SANKALPA” organized the community and families, it has worked over the years and formed groups for landless, marginalized and vulnerable.

SANKALPA works in close coordination with the District Disability Rehabilitation Program in Davangere. As a part of it we work with different government agencies including the Education Department, Health, Department of women and child development, urban local bodies, rural development & Panchyat Raj institutions and Composite Regional Centre. Besides the Govt agencies, SANKALPA works with DPOs, Parents groups on identification, assessment, referral, capacity building and implementation of rehabilitation interventions for Persons with Disabilities.

Worrying Does Not Empty Tomorrow Of Its Troubles, It Empties Today Of Its Strength.

SANKALPA enables linking facilities & encouraging the system to make much-needed provisions for people with disability. We are able to touch lives of 2,500 Persons with Disabilities.
We have enabled Persons with Disabilities to receive various social security services including the provision of pension, scholarship, health insurance (Niramaya), registration for Unique Disability Identity Cards (UDID), Provision of mobility aids etc.,
SANKALPA has organized several health camps and created disability awareness for students and young peoples. Also imparted input to the families about environment, livelihood and self-employment opportunities, guidance and support etc.
Presently Sankalpa organisation Davangere District level Right to person with Disability Act implementation as a committee member.
