About Us
Help is Our Main Goal
“SANKALAP Organisation has been working in the area of Inclusive Education for Specially Abled and in Rural Development, over last 13 years (since 2007).”
“SANKALPA” is registered under Society Act. And Income Tax Act exemption under 80G & 12AA. Section 51 and 52 of Rights for Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 at Davangere & under NITI AYOG. Besides that, SANKALPA is part of the NGOs federation at the state and national level.
We work for the Persons with Disabilities & for the Rural Development in Davangere district. Board members comprising 8 eminent personalities in Davangere joined under the roof of SANKALPA for enabling more inclusive and sustainable development in Davangere district of Karnataka state.
MESSAGE FROM THE FOUNDER & SECRETARY
Being in the field of disability from 13 years, now I’m happy to see the attitudinal change in the society over the years. The People with Disability (PwD) Act, has been changed to “Right to Person with Disability Act 2016”, which now includes 21 disabilities. Initially, the Right to Disability Act did not consider deaf blindness as a disability. Disability inclusion is the new thing in mainstream schools, hotels and, tourist places too are becoming accessible to persons with disabilities. But when we talk about multiple disabilities, laymen as well as professionals know very little about it. Professionals look at multiple disabilities as a combination of two or more disabilities. When in reality, multiple disabilities are the impact of two or more disabilities and their combined outcome is very different.
SANKALPA Organisation, in its own little way in Disability sector and rural development, is trying to create awareness in the society and to be conducted the Programs through different stakeholders.

SANKALPA Organisation is an NGO that’s transforming the lives of underprivileged people with disability since 2007. Based in Davangere, Karnataka. Each year we are filled with wonder by the treasures of love deployed by the teams of SANKALPA Organisation to help the most unprivileged disabled children, Youths and Rural Development activities. “SANKALPA” have been working for economically marginalized people with disabilities, capacity building of different stakeholders. Provided various community services for people with special ability and other target group families from rural as well as urban areas, wherein “SANKALPA” has played a role of organising communities and families, after working for several years we are providing service to 2000 beneficiaries which includes- underprivileged, deprived, affected, landless, marginalized and vulnerable. We, SANKALPA team dream for a bigger change in the lives of differently able individuals by providing them a support in different walks of life through early intervention, inclusive education, skill development and employment at a single platform. And, in this initiative towards making a comprehensive society marked with equal rights & opportunity, access to roles in everyone.
